The Action Plan for the Control of the Gull Population in the Porto Metropolitan Area’s Coastal Municipalities was established owing to the need to minimise the imbalance caused by urban gulls. This document is the result of extensive experimental work (gull censuses, nest identification, GPS gull tracking and video camera observation of behaviour), literature review and discussion with several experts on the subject.
