The European Week of Regions and Cities is the largest annual event dedicated to regional policy, during which regions and cities showcase their capacity to generate growth and jobs, as well as to implement the European Union’s cohesion policy, demonstrating the importance of the local and regional levels for European good governance. This year, the four-day event takes place from 9 to 12 October 2023. In this edition, the programme includes more than 200 sessions and all activities will take place in Brussels, Belgium.

Although having opened its representative office with the European institutions only earlier this year, the Porto Metropolitan Area will be participating for the first time in this initiative. The EU Regions Talk – “Driving Innovation in Transport & Mobility by Porto Metropolitan Area” on 11 October, at 2.30 p.m. CEST, will be introducing the new AMP’s transport brand – UNIR, aiming at leading a discussion with other European regions about the future of mobility.
