Unir, the new brand representing road transportation in the Porto Metropolitan Area (AMP), was officially presented today.
The previous signing of the contracts marked the beginning of a new era in transportation in the Porto Metropolitan Area, but with today’s presentation, the AMP seeks to create a sense of bonding between citizens and their municipalities within the AMP, what makes this event a particularly significant moment.
This new image will be the face of mobility of a territory as diverse as it is cohesive.
The President of the Porto Metropolitan Council, Eduardo Vítor Rodrigues, stressed the "joint work that was done" by the municipalities to conduct the public tendering for road transportation in the region, and that "no matter the difficulties, we are always stronger if we stay together. No matter the challenges, we are better off if we remain united.”
Bruno Sousa, the creative director of Bastarda, the company that developed the brand’s creative proposal, pointed out that “in its reading, the brand highlights this bonding of the 17 municipalities” and also that using the “verb ‘ir’ (go/travel)”, we also get this “sense of mobility” and “reading of the route”, a route that is “developed, from a visual point of view, with this drawing in line with several layers”, with the presence of four colours, blue, green, yellow and terracotta, on the black of the logo lines.
